Royal Blue Pleated Gown — Dark Background

There's something about a rich royal blue against a deep black backdrop that is just stunning. The sculptural pleating of this gown wrapped around her bump beautifully, and the drama of the lighting gave these images a high-fashion editorial quality. This is maternity photography with confidence and presence.

Burnt Orange Tulle Gown — Warm Brown Background + Vanity Lights

We brought in the vertical vanity light fixture for this one, and the result is dreamy. The warm amber tones of the background complement her skin beautifully, and the billowing tulle gown adds that effortless, luxurious feel. These images have a golden-hour warmth even though they were shot entirely in-studio.

Burnt Orange Tulle — Painted Canvas Background

Same gown, completely different energy. The painterly, neutral canvas backdrop shifted the mood from warm and dramatic to soft and editorial. A reminder that changing the backdrop can transform a look entirely — which is why I invest in a variety of professional studio backdrops.

White/Silver Pleated Gown — Bright White Backdrop and Black & White

Clean. Minimal. Timeless. The white pleated gown with the oversize sheer wrap against a bright white background is one of my signature looks. We also created a stunning black and white conversion from this setup — the tonal contrast between her skin and the white gown is simply beautiful. These are the images that look incredible as large wall art.

Champagne/Blush Tulle Gown — Painted Canvas Background

We ended the session with a seated look in this dreamy champagne tulle gown. The soft painted background, warm lighting, and the intimacy of this pose — hands cradling her bump, eyes cast softly down — created some of the most emotional images of the day. This is the kind of image you frame and keep forever.
